This is one of the largest unmanned systems competition in the world.

A total of 56 teams from all over the world registered for the competition, 43 were accepted and only 24 could make it to the final round. IIIT-Delhi cleared all milestones and deliverables and successfully made it to the final Flight Demonstration round. Aurora used a fixed-wing platform for their Unmanned Aerial System. The team was able to showcase a successful autonomous flight with auto take-off and came in 20th overall.

Team Aurora garnered a lot of appreciation from the judges for it’s modular and lightweight aircraft and payload design. The competition was conducted on the lines of actual flight readiness checks for the NAVY, complete with Flight Readiness Review and Security Inspections.
