The first day of the India-Korea ICT workshop turned out to be a huge success, with experts from both countries reiterating the urgent need for collaborative efforts in the ICT sector. There was a consensus amongst the esteemed guests about the need to build innovative ideas into technologies and products, and were accepting of each other’s support and assistance. This collaboration stands to serve as a mutually beneficial relationship between India and Korea, by bridging the technology and manpower gap. As highlighted by Mr. Hyun Cho, “Mr. Rabindranath Tagore had recognized Korea as the torchbearer for all of Asia. We’re positive that this collaboration will be fruitful for both India and Korea.” The products on display in the ICT workshop allowed for a smooth exchange of ideas, identification of important and challenging applications and discovery of possible synergies to create a strong foundation for the collaboration.

The India-Korea ICT Workshop concluded on 13 August. The final day saw many Korean companies showcasing their products at IIIT-Delhi. The two day event encouraged various companies present to increase collaborative efforts to build a long standing relationship in terms of hardware and software development. We thank our collaborators, the Embassy of Republic Of Korea, National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), IIT Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University for helping make this event successful.
